Welcome to New Eagle’s Nest Staff Members

by Paige Lester-Niles

We are very excited to welcome three new staff members to the full time staff at Eagle’s Nest!

Innes Gamble
Assistant to the Camp Director

Innes Gamble has joined us as the Assistant to the Camp Director. In this role, Innes helps with a variety of projects relating to promotions and staff recruitment and hiring. In the short time that she has been working, Innes has already attended several staff fairs, camp fairs, and recruitment parties and has been an incredibly positive and enthusiastic addition to our team. Innes is a long time Eagle’s Nest camper and staff member. She is also a recent graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Sociology. Prior to starting work with Eagle’s Nest, Innes traveled to Tanzania to do volunteer work on an orphanage in Mahango Village.

Michael Moore
Kitchen Manager

Michael Moore has been busy cooking away in the Sun Lodge as our new Kitchen Manager. A native of eastern North Carolina, Michael is a recent graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He brings a great deal of talent and diverse skills to this position.   Michael has shared his passion for cooking local food, educating through food preparation, and being of service to others.

Candace MacDonald
Bookkeeping Assistant

Candace MacDonald joined our staff in December as Bookkeeping Assistant in our Business Office. In addition to assisting staff with their daily financial and budgetary tracking needs, Candace is point person in Accounts Payable as well as assisting with filing numerous reports of our non-profit organization. In the short time Candace has been here, she has already made significant improvements. Candace moved to Pisgah Forest with her husband from northern Virginia, where she worked in office operations, and raised her three children.

We would also like to say thank you to Hazel Dordoni who recently retired as our bookkeeper and to Rick Hastings, our former Kitchen Manager, who is living just down Hart Road and is enjoying spending time with his two young children.
