On the Road Again

by Paige Lester-Niles, Camp Director

It’s that time of year when we load up the Eagle’s Nest van and head out across the Southeast to reunite with old camp friends and to meet soon to be new camp friends. As I type this post, Liz is actually down in sunny Miami giving a slide show in the home of a long time camper and camp staff member whose own children have been attending camp for about 10 years! She’ll be down in Florida for a few more days before heading back to North Carolina, slowing down to pick me up and continuing north to Washington, DC for a few more days of camp parties. But the fun doesn’t end there! We’ll also be heading back to Atlanta, Georgia and have several parties set up in North Carolina. And we’re VERY EXCITED about a camp party and coffee house in our “home town” of Winston-Salem.

Of course, it takes a lot of time on the road (or in the air) to make it to this many places. In addition to the Southeast, Liz has also been to Chicago and New Orleans this winter. But the travel time is worth it when we get to see so many Eagle’s Nest friends, hear their joyful memories of camp, and sample lots of different cho chos along the way.

We hope that you’ll be able to make it to a camp party this year. You can check out the schedule by following this link. When you come, bring a friend (or four), and if we’re not doing a party in your town, let Liz know and she can schedule something with you.

See you on the road!
