Unrestricted Donations

Eagle's Nest Foundation welcomes unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund. Unrestricted donations help to meet ongoing priorities and position Eagle’s Nest to provide financial assistance for the ever growing need for scholarships, resources and materials for our many programs, site renovations, faculty development opportunities, transportation, and other needs. As we envision the future, unrestricted donations will help Eagle’s Nest plan new opportunities to continue our mission: experiential education for young people, promoting the natural world and the betterment of human character. The Outdoor Academy Scholarship Funds

The Outdoor Academy(OA) scholarship funds are made available through both the general Outdoor Academy Scholarship Fund and named funds designated for OA support. Eagle’s Nest Foundation strives to give an amount equal to or greater than 10% of The Outdoor Academy tuition budget toward OA scholarships each year. Eagle’s Nest Foundation is currently seeking scholarship funds for the 2005-2006 school year and beyond. To fully fund a student for one semester this school year, aid in the amount of $15,300 ($15,800 including the school store account fund) is required. Eagle’s Nest Foundation seeks to make its programs open to all students, regardless of their ability to meet the tuition requirements. Financial aid support is a critical component to providing this opportunity to any qualified student. Currently there is one named annual scholarship for Outdoor Academy students as well as the one endowed fund. Gifts for scholarship funds may not be earmarked for a specific individual.

  • Fran Price Endowed Scholarship Fund
  • Fran Price is a talented, wise and very witty 95-year-old woman who has been providing full scholarships to Eagle’s Nest campers for 15 years. During this time she has been solely responsible for giving nearly 20 campers the opportunity to experience the wonders of Eagle’s Nest Camp on a full camp scholarship. Fran intentionally provided these scholarships as a way or propelling others to create greater good in the world. Fran’s generosity has “put fresh air in [camper’s] my lungs, a paddle in [their] hands, and a songs in [their] hearts.”

Eagle’s Nest Foundation has started an endowed scholarship fund in Fran Price’s name. Our goal is to honor her and to carry on her desire to make the world a better place.
