Amos Barclay
Amos Barclay began his journey with Eagle’s Nest Camp in 1985 as a camper in Cabin 7 and continued his adventures with the Hante program (Hante Skills 1989 and 1990, Canoe Trek 19990) and the junior counselor program (1992). He served as a counselor at Eagle’s Nest Camp from 1995-1997 and as a staff member for the Birch Tree program in the fall of 1998. He has been a member of the Eagle’s Nest Board of Trustees since 2006.
Amos received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He practices law in New York City (Hunton & Williams, LLP), where his practice areas include corporate finance, private equity, capital markets, immigration and asylum law. Outside of his legal practice, he enjoys writing and playing music with his band, the Camel City Drivers, and is an avid cyclist and skier.
Amos finds his role as a trustee very fulfilling and relishes the opportunity to give back to an institution that has provided so much to so many. His particular interests lie within strengthening the Foundation’s development mission and its continued commitment to lower income students and campers.
