Cain considers herself one of the lucky ones. As a child growing up in the heat of central Florida she was excited to spend six weeks each summer in the cool mountains of North Carolina. She attended Eagle’s Nest as a camper, junior counselor and counselor and always loved returning to The Nest each year to reconnect with some of the people she still considers to be her best friends.  She is now affirming her commitment to the Eagle’s Nest mission as a trustee.

Cain graduated from Salem College in Winston Salem in 1992 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduating from Salem College she moved to Breckenridge, CO for 4 ½ years.
Cain currently resides in Asheville, NC along with her husband Ronnie and their daughters McKinnley and Mary-Lawson. In 2004 Cain and Ronnie, who met as counselors at Eagle’s Nest, witnessed their life come full circle when they dropped McKinnley, age 6 at the time, off for her first 3 weeks at camp. Cain knew with total confidence that she was giving her daughter the greatest gift, an Eagle’s Nest experience.

Cain is an active parent representative and is always looking for someone to talk to about Eagle’s Nest. She had the opportunity to work as a parent counselor during the one week 4th session, 2009. This experience reconfirmed what an amazing place Eagle’s Nest is and what a great experience it is providing the children.

Cain is an active member of the Asheville community where she is a Realtor with Carolina Mountain Sales, and acts as the Treasurer with the Ruth Davidson Chapter, DAR. When she is not selling real estate, you will find Cain and her family hiking, biking, camping and enjoying the beauty of the mountains of Western Carolina.
