Rod Gray’s connection to Eagle’s Nest began as a parent. His son attended the Outdoor Academy in 2005, and Rod’s decision to become a trustee, in 2007, stemmed from what he feels was his son’s superlative experience there.

Having earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, in 1974, Rod also earned a B.S. in accounting at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, in 1975.

Rod joined Colonial Pipeline Company in 2003 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and came on in this same capacity with Cobalt in 2008. In this position, he was responsible for the financial oversight and management of the company, including all aspects of corporate financing, treasury operations, cash management and financial performance.  Rod retired from Cobalt in 2010.

In addition to ENF, Rod’s interests include active involvement in church. He supports a ministry that works with orphaned children and impoverished families in Romania, and chaperoned a youth group mission trip to Romania in 2008.
