Jamey Lowdermilk

Jamey Lowdermilk spent her first night at Eagle’s Nest in a top bunk of Library cabin terrifiedEagle's Nest Foundation Board of Trustees: Jamey Loudermilk of the bullfrogs. Through the years she enjoyed wonderful summers at the Nest including Paleo Man adventures (1993 & 1994), several Hantes (AT Trek 1995 & 1996, Skills 1997, and Southeast Rivers 1998), serving as a Junior Counselor (1998), teaching whitewater paddling on staff (2001-2005), and co-leading two Hantes (Southeast Rivers 2004, Costa Rica 2005). She also studied at the Outdoor Academy in the fall of 1997.

Jamey received her Bachelor of Arts in a combination of Economics and Spanish with a minor in Environmental Studies from Sewanee. She followed graduation with four years traveling, teaching, and learning including an Americorps*VISTA project after Hurricane Katrina and an internship with the Grameen Bank in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Master’s of Science in Applied Economics and Statistics with a certificate in Public Administration at Clemson University in the summer of 2010. Jamey is so inspired by the extended Eagle’s Nest community. After many years contributing to life in and around 43 Hart Road, she’s excited to commit her time and energy to the Board of Trustees and the work of our Foundation.
