Edee’s history with Eagle’s Nest began long before her parents met at Eagle’s Nest in the early 1950’s. Her father Ed was the program director and her mother was hired to start up the rifle/marksmanship program. She grew up with summers at Eagle’s Nest as a camper, JC, and counselor. She led the Huck Finn adventure one summer with the daughter of another current trustee (Lyne Gamble) as a participant. Edee has a deep passion for the mission of Eagle’s Nest and considers it an honor to serve on the board.

Edee is a fifth generation resident of Mt. Dora, Florida. She graduated from the Christian Home and Bible School there and then went on to Lake Sumter College. She spent fifteen years in the real estate industry before taking over management of a family business in the construction industry. She is currently self-employed as the owner of Tamsettland, Inc.

Edee is an avid gardener and cook, and enjoys any activity on the water. She can often be found hosting an impromptu cook-out and games for half the neighborhood or organizing a themed party at the local yacht club. If asked how she pulls these off, with a large smile she confidently replies “Eagle’s Nest.” She hopes to see the scholarship program for Eagle’s Nest grow to perpetual endowed level because she knows that spending the night under a leaky tarp in the pouring rain is invaluable experience for dealing with the storms of life!
