Description

Hante Adventures is excited to offer our Appalachian Trail Trekking Hante with an added emphasis on outdoor photography. The Foothills Trail is a 76 mile hiking trail located in Northwest South Carolina and southwest North Carolina. It runs from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park. The Foothills Trail is among the most unsung trails in the Sou theast. It traverses the Cherokee Foothills of the Sou thern Appalachians in North and South Carolina, and travels through state parks, national forests, and state-owned preserves. These lands are home to high ridgelines, wild and scenic rivers, deep rock gorges, expansive wilderness areas, beautiful mountain lakes and clear trout streams, and a number of incredible waterfalls. During this 3-week Hante Adventure, participants will learn about the natural history of the Appalachians and backcountry travel. In addition, they will be learning about the fascinating world of outdoor photography. Throughout the journey, participants will be able to photograph their inspiring surroundings. When they return to camp they will have the opportunity to develop and edit those photographs in our dark room and with our computer photo editing programs. Join us on this trek and come away with countless new skills and an adventure you will not soon forget.
