Description

Hante Adventures just has a couple questions to ask of you:   When have you ever hiked into a field that was completely surrounded by towering spires of rock?   Have you hiked up and over a snow-filled pass?   Have you ever learned how to make fresh biscuits while camping next to a pristine trout-filled lake?

During this 3-week expedition the group will discuss expedition behaviors, trail etiquette, land features, and map and compass skills.   The journey will allow students to begin developing such skills as: backcountry travel, group development, backcountry cooking, conflict resolution, and decision making.   While traveling as a group, they will see places such as the Cirque de Towers, Pinnacle Peak, Wind River Peak, South Fork Lakes, and Temple Lake.   Imagine everyone at home eating hot dogs and corn on the cob for Fourth of July, while you’re sitting on a snow slope watching the snow come down so thick you can barely make out your bright yellow tent.   Now that’s a fourth of July.   Come and join the fun!
