Share your photos of your Eagle’s Nest inspired garden, organic compost heaps, huge home-grown fruits and veggies, or a family workday in your garden!
At Eagle’s Nest Foundation, we’re all about promoting gardening, Environmental awareness and sustainable agriculture through our experiential education programs! Our garden to table program has inspired many of our Eagle’s Nest campers, Outdoor Academy students, Hante adventurers and OASES participants to bring gardening home to their families and to share what they’ve learned about organic whole foods with their friends. Besides, eating fresh foods that you’ve grown yourself is just plain FUN!!
So Eagle’s Nesters, how does your garden grow?! This spring, summer and fall, we invite you to share your best photos of your home gardens, newly sprouted seedlings, healthy harvests, organic compost (don’t forget the worms!), or humongous fruits and veggies with our online community. We’ll upload your photos to our community Flickr page and one awesome photograph will be featured in our fall edition of The Eagle newsletter.
You and your family have until October 1st to show us how your garden grows!
Submit your Photos via Email
It’s easy! All you need to do is email your photo to us using this link: info@enf.org. Here are the specifics.
- Who can send a photo? Any Eagle’s Nest Foundation camper, student, participant, parent, or friend of the Nest can send us a photo. Kids under 18, please ask your parent for permission first!
- Can I send in more than one photo? Yes, you may send us a few photos throughout the summer. BUT, we ask that you please select only your best, edited shots (not the whole roll or that blurry photo of the dog!). Please send only one photo per email to keep our server from crashing.
- How should I size my photo? Please send us photos that are:
- In JPG or JPEG file format (ex. YourImage.jpg or YourImage.jpeg)
- Less than 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image)
- The total file size must be less than 5 megabytes (MB)
- Please provide only the original, unmodified camera image. ENF will consider no photos that it identifies as obscene, provocative, or otherwise containing objectionable content.
- What else should I include in my email? Please include your name and a title or short caption for your photo in the body of your email.
- When should I send in my photo? Send in your photos anytime between now and October 1st, 2011. In October, we’ll select one photo to be featured in the Fall edition of The Eagle newsletter.
- Where can I see my photos? Click here to go to our Flickr page. Photos will be uploaded in batches periodically throughout the summer – so if you don’t see your photo right away, don’t worry! Check back soon!
