The Outdoor Academy is an accredited semester school for high school sophomores and select freshmen and juniors. OA delivers outdoor experiential education that develops the character necessary for life-long success through an emphasis on our program cornerstones: Intellect, Environment, Community, and Craft. Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our small community of students engages in rigorous academics at the same time they cultivate an environmental ethic and gain skills in backpacking, climbing, paddling, and traditional crafts.
