I Appreciate You…
I Appreciate You…
I love the website www.soulpancake.com. Sometimes when I feel down, I go to their website looking for something uplifting from Kid President and others. I had to share this video with everyone.
In the video a guy in a lab coat states that it has been scientifically proven that one of the greatest contributing factors to overall happiness in your life is how much gratitude you show and goes on to perform an experiment in gratitude.
During summer our staff is in a constant state of sharing gratitude through small notes and verbal appreciations. Some cabins also set up walls of appreciation or share appreciations with each other every night before bed.
While I am grateful for so many people every day it seems only in summer that I am in the habit of writing it down and sharing my gratitude with that other person. This video inspired me to share some written appreciation with my fellow Eagle’s Nest Camp full timers.
Marlin – Thank you for your enthusiasm, your bright ideas, and your friendship. I can always count on you to help me hash out my latest idea or hop in the truck and help me move a prop or some speakers.
Liz – Thank you for pounding that pavement and telling our story to families across the US. Your warm, welcoming, and nurturing personality and matching smile cannot be beat. And speaking of beats, thank you for sharing my love of early 2000s hip hop.
Johan – Thank you for your creativity. I am constantly mesmerized by the videos you produce and the way you have stepped up our social media game. Rock on friend!
Molly – Than you for being my office buddy. You are so friendly and funny and I am so glad that you do not get tired of me pestering you and dancing around your desk while I reheat my coffee.
Paige – Thank you for your vision and leadership. You are the conductor to our orchestra and it would not sound as great without you.
Try it out, it really does make you happier and happier people make the world a better place.
