Camp is a busy place, filled with activity and adventure. It takes a lot of hands to make the magic at camp happen. Fortunately, we have a tremendous group of talented and hard working staff members who create that magic, and support the Eagle’s Nest community each summer. Included in that group are our Eagle’s Nest Camp Interns.

For nearly 10-years, Eagle’s Nest has offered kitchen and garden internships for a select group of former campers and Outdoor Academy students. This opportunity provides great leaders with a chance to grow from participant at camp or school to employee at Eagle’s Nest. A lot of work goes in to creating programs, caring for campers, and keeping camp running in a smooth and safe way. This Internship provides participants with the opportunity to be more involved with that process.

The Intern Program is focused on helping Interns gain skills as they contribute to the community in a support staff position. During their internship, Interns also have the chance to begin teaching at Eagle’s Nest, with the support of veteran camp leaders.

This year we will be hiring 3 -6 Interns for the summer. The Interns will be working in Eagle’s Nest’s garden or as members of the kitchen staff with the majority of their time spent helping with work associated with those areas. Applications are now available. The deadline to apply is January 31st. If you are interested in an Internship at Eagle’s Nest, or know of someone who is, please contact me at paige@enf.org.
