ENF Strategic Planning

As We Enter Our 100th Year
As we move toward our 100th year, Eagle’s Nest Foundation is engaged in a strategic planning process shaped by listening, reflection, and shared community input.
Rooted in our commitment to being a community of belonging, we want this process to be clear, welcoming, and easy to follow for the many people who make up ENF, including our young people, families, alumni, staff, and longtime supporters.
This page is a central place to follow the process, find updates, view the planning timeline, and participate in upcoming events and feedback opportunities. Community input will help us test the emerging direction, identify what may be missing, and refine the plan before it is presented to the Board for review. As we move through each stage, we will continue to update this page so you can see where we are, what we are learning, and how to stay involved.
We are grateful for the generations of voices that continue to come together to shape ENF’s future.
A strategic plan helps an organization decide where it is going, what it should focus on, and how it can best use its time and resources to serve its mission.
About the Process
ENF’s strategic planning process is grounded in listening, reflection, and shared community input. The Board and staff began by examining ENF’s current strengths and future aspirations. The process then expanded to include members of the broader ENF community.

What We’re Exploring
As ENF approaches its 100th year, we are honoring the strong roots that have sustained this community while considering what new growth is needed for the future.
Through the planning process, we are exploring questions such as:
- How can ENF continue to offer exceptional experiential education and support young people’s growth?
- What does it mean to be “One ENF”—a foundation whose programs are distinct but connected?
- How can we strengthen belonging and expand access to ENF’s programs, campus, and community?
- What financial, organizational, and physical systems will help ENF thrive over time?
- How can we care for the land and prepare responsibly for a changing climate?
- How can ENF build meaningful relationships and partnerships beyond its campus?
- What should we be asking that we have not yet considered?
These are starting points for conversation, not final decisions. Community input will help us understand what resonates, what is missing, and what needs to change before the plan is finalized.
