Once again, we are humbled and sincerely grateful for the overwhelming support and outpouring of encouragement we have received from our loyal donors, alums, friends and family. Because of this incredible community, a total of $ $385,604 was raised in 2021. Of this, $70,791 was raised for scholarships, allowing young people the chance to experience the wonders of 43 Hart Road for a session of Camp, a Hante Adventure, and to attend a semester at The Outdoor Academy. With each year, our community grows and the mission of Eagle’s Nest and The Outdoor Academy further extends its reach across the globe.

Your support in 2021 went beyond scholarships and helped contribute to the Foundation’s growth and overall success. One of the initiatives launched in 2021 was the Sun Lodge Renovations Project in honor of Ted Wesemann, The Outdoor Academy’s founding director and long-time faculty member, in celebration of his retirement after 27 years. Nearly $36,000 was raised for the Sun Lodge Project in 2021, and we will continue our fundraising efforts for this special project in 2022.

Other foundation-wide initiatives our donors supported in 2021 include professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, resources and materials for our many programs, continued DEI efforts, site renovations, Gear Lending Library inventory, among other initiatives.

Thank you for your continued support in 2021, and we look forward to another successful year in fundraising in 2022!
